Even people who aren't into shopping will like the south stores, which are a sane alternative to IKEA, or to theme stores, which offer bargains you can't find anywhere else – comic books, old book editions, gramophone needle or even advanced tech supply.

The hottest shopping regions include:

1. Dizengoff street

   – the northern part of the street is mostly bridal stores and designer evening wear. The old Dizengoff street is starting to offer more unique stores, freaky hangouts, designer fairs and food fairs every Thursday evening and Friday morning.

2. Sheinkin

   – this is no longer just a street but is the center of Tel Aviv bohemia and a place that offers an ultimate escape from the cares of life. You can find clothes you've never seen before, designer candles, scented soaps, unique jewelry, coffee houses and restaurants. The street performances and the people watching are also quite fun.

3. Nahalat Binyamin

   – the street holds a biweekly (Tuesday and Friday) art fair that offers jewelry, accessories, home decorations and unique gifts – all handmade by artists who sell their own works. Apart from the fair, there are also many fabric stores and haberdashery, a wide variety of restaurants and coffee houses and street performances.

4. Flea market

   – a big market in Jaffa where you can find bargains on clothes, jewelry, furniture and antiques. It's important to know that the prices are just a starting point for negotiation (if you're good at it you can take off more than 50%). The area has restaurants and authentic coffee houses where you can relax after a hard day of negotiating.
